Now in its 14th season, the Australian Fishing Championships is a household name in Australian and fast becoming the most recognized and celebrated fishing competition in the world.

The mix of fast-paced action and superb scenery make this a truly unique program. Each series consists of timed fishing trials across three fishing environments: Freshwater lake, Freshwater River and Salt Water Ocean. Prizes are awarded for first fish, most species, biggest catch and overall bag numbers with the angler collecting the most points crowned the AFC Champion.

The championship is done with the utmost respect for the land of the Yuwibara Aboriginal people the traditional owners of the land where the competition takes place.
