DEKKOO TAKES ON SPECTRUM
British director and producer Kieron Moore and British distributor Videoplugger are delighted to announce that LGBT film Spectrum has been picked up in a deal with Dekkoo, and will be released on their platform in original language.
Spectrum (37′, 2019)
A drag king and a trans woman explore their new identities. A young man hooks up with a vampire, who wants to suck his blood. An older man adopts a pup, which brings him the attention he craved. And an awkward bisexual has forgotten to come out to both his girlfriend and his ex-boyfriend.
Dekkoo (pronounced “DECK-koo”) is the premiere subscription-based streaming service dedicated to gay men, providing the largest streaming collection of gay-centric entertainment available. Through their releasing arm Dekkoo Films, they distribute gay-centric entertainment to international audiences.
Director and Producer Kieron Moore said:
”Spectrum’s team of LGBTQ filmmakers set out to depict Manchester’s queer community. We’re proud to have represented these stories of our city, and thrilled to have teamed up with Dekkoo to bring them to its viewers. Maybe their cities also have first-time drag kings, loved-up leathermen, and messy encounters in club toilets!”
Ebba Eriksson, CD Videoplugger said:
”We are very proud to be supporting indie producers such as Kieron Moore and his co-creators Abigail Henry and Christopher Bowles who with “Spectrum” are giving a voice to a marginalised community while being fun and challenging some stereotypes.”
