This TV series opens the doors of a seminary and invites the audience into the little-known life of churchmen.
The Churchmen is an award-winning drama about five candidates for the priesthood who arrive at Paris’ Capuchin Seminary for training. As they prepare for ordination, each will see their commitment to the cross tested and whether they can withstand temptations from outside the seminary walls and from their own hidden passions.
Through their apprenticeship, the audience will discover a mystical and fascinating universe. Their daily life will be one of learning (about their faith and life) and ordeal. It will reveal ecclesiastical institutions where ambition and discord could cast a shadow over the strongest belief.
